Oh man, "twenty years" - that's wild. My buddy Chris had this old washing machine his grandma gave him, must have been from the 90s. Thing was beige, had these chunky dials, and the lid was held shut with a bungee cord. He moved that thing to three different apartments, used it for everything from coveralls to heavy drapes. When it finally died, he said it went out with a bang - literally, a loud pop and then water everywhere. Took him a week to find a repair guy who could even look at it, and the guy just laughed and said "you got your money's worth.
