My dishwasher died on a Tuesday, picked a Bosch over a KitchenAid
The repair guy quoted me $480 for a new pump on my old Whirlpool, so I went with a Bosch 300 series instead. It's been 3 weeks and the dishes are actually dry, but I'm wondering if I should've stuck with the familiar brand, anyone else made a similar switch and regret it?

Three weeks in and you're still noticing the dry dishes, that's the honeymoon phase. Give it six months when the filter needs its first cleaning and you're pulling apart the spray arm with a toothpick, then see if you still care about the brand name. I switched from a Samsung to a Bosch last year and the only thing I regret is that I didn't do it sooner, mostly because the Samsung never actually cleaned the top rack. The Bosch has this little red light that tells you when the rinse aid is low, which sounds stupid but saves you from that film on glasses. You made the right call, repair guys always quote high on old machines because they don't want to work on them.
