Just saw something wild at the hardware store in Springfield

I was grabbing some paint and saw two guys almost get into a real argument over whether to buy a Milwaukee or a DeWalt drill. One guy said he'd used his Milwaukee for 15 years, no issues. The other said his DeWalt survived a fall off a roof. What makes you stick with a tool brand that hard?

Honestly, that loyalty comes from more than just batteries. When you use a tool for years, you learn its feel and its quirks. It becomes a known thing that works when you need it. Trying a new brand feels like a gamble with your time and money on a job site. You just want the thing in your hand to do the job without a second thought.

It's about the battery system you're locked into. Once you've got three or four batteries and chargers for one brand, switching feels like starting over from zero. That investment makes people defend their choice way harder.

Why get so attached to one brand? Tools break and companies change, so you might miss out on something better. I just buy whatever gets the job done for a fair price.
