I mocked my buddy's air fryer for 2 years, then mine showed up

My friend Paul swore by his air fryer for years and I kept telling him it was just a tiny convection oven with a hype problem. Then I broke my toaster oven last month and borrowed his old one for a week, and now I get why he stuck with it. The wings came out crispy in 25 minutes without me babysitting them, and I haven't used my regular oven since. I'm not saying it's magic, but I finally understand the loyalty, kind of like how people swear by their favorite cast iron pan. Anyone else flip on a brand or gadget they used to trash talk?

Ha, that's exactly how it went for me with my old rice cooker! I swore it was just a dumb pot with a plug, but I used my sister's for two weeks and I literally chipped my tooth on crunchy undercooked rice from my stove top one week later. The whole set and forget thing is honestly a game changer when you're juggling other stuff in the kitchen, and now my air fryer sits right next to it like they're best buds. I'm glad you got to taste the wings too, because trying to explain it just makes you sound like a commercial!
