I finally gave up on my old phone brand after 8 years

Last week, my trusty Pixel 3 from 2018 finally gave up the ghost for good. I remember three years ago, I would have argued with anyone that it was the best phone you could buy, hands down. Now I'm looking at other options and it feels weird to not just buy the newest Pixel right away. Has anyone else had a brand they were loyal to for years just stop feeling like the right choice?

Trusty Pixel 3" - man, that hits close to home.

My Pixel 3's battery died for good last year. I had to disagree with grantadams on the trusty part, it felt like a race to a charger. That phone was more of a high-maintenance friend.

The Pixel 3 battery was only 2915 mAh from the start. That small capacity just couldn't keep up after a year of use. It explains the constant charging cycle.
