Hit 500 consecutive days with the same razor brand and I'm not sure how to feel about it
I noticed last week that I've been buying the same brand of disposable razors for about 500 days straight, just the standard 3-blade ones from the grocery store in Omaha. It's not like I did a loyalty program or anything, I just kept grabbing the same cheap pack out of habit. But now I'm wondering if I'm sticking with them because they actually work or because I'm too lazy to try the other 15 options on the shelf. Has anyone else accidentally been loyal to a brand for that long without a real reason?

Respectfully, I gotta disagree with the whole "most do the same thing" idea. I switched from the standard cheap 3-blade to a different brand with an aloe strip and it was night and day for me. No more redness on my neck, and it's actually cheaper per blade than what I was buying before. I think people just get used to the ritual of grabbing the same pack, not the actual quality of the shave. Have you ever tried one of those store brands that come with a plastic guard over the blades, cause those actually gave me the worst cuts I've ever had.

Wait, you tested every brand over three years just to prove they're all basically the same?

The part about grabbing the same cheap pack out of habit hits close to home. I actually did the opposite a while back, I switched brands every time I bought razors for about three years to test them all. You know what I found? Most of them do the same thing. That blue plastic handle and three blades are basically interchangeable. The real difference is you probably don't get razor burn with your current ones, and you know exactly how many shaves you get before they dull. That's a real reason to stick with them, not just laziness.
