Found a stat that changed my mind about Honda vs Toyota
I was scrolling through some Edmunds data last night and saw that Honda Civics hold 52% of their value after 5 years, while the Corolla drops to 48%. I always assumed Toyota crushed it in resale across the board, but that 4% gap surprised me. I guess the Civic's safety ratings and fun factor really do keep people loyal. Has anyone else run into numbers that flipped their whole brand opinion?

That's actually interesting, I always thought Toyota had the edge too. The Civic being more fun to drive probably helps a lot with that resale number. Maybe the Corolla's reliability reputation doesn't quite make up for being a little boring in comparison.

Honestly, I feel that "a little boring" is a generous way to put it. Tbh, I've driven a Corolla and it was like driving a very reliable kitchen appliance. Ngl, the Civic's got that sporty feel that makes you actually want to take the long way home, even if you end up spilling your coffee on the upholstery, which I may have done last week.
