Found a 1998 survey showing 70% of my town drove Fords. Now it's all imports.

Was cleaning out my dad's garage in Toledo and found a local paper from that year. The article said most families here stuck with Ford because of the plant jobs. When did that kind of hometown brand loyalty just disappear?

Maybe it was less about loyalty and more about not having other good choices back then.

That hometown brand loyalty thing is real. My buddy's dad worked at the Ford plant and refused to even look at another make until the day he retired.
