Appreciation post: The guy who made me stick with Craftsman tools

I was at a garage sale in Phoenix last fall and this older guy walked up, picked up a rusty old ratchet, and said 'this thing's been through 3 engine swaps and still clicks.' He told me he'd never bought another brand since the 80s. Has anyone else had a random stranger talk them into brand loyalty like that?

Oh man, that is honestly just so relatable and kind of sad at the same time. It really gets to me when you think someone is being genuine and it turns out they just want something from you. I've definitely been in that spot before, and it makes you feel pretty silly for trusting the wrong person. It's just a bummer when you realize their friendliness came with a price tag attached.
