After 4 years of trashing Samsung phones, my new A54 has me eating crow

I always told my buddy in Austin that Samsung's midrange was just bloatware and cheap plastic, but his $299 A54 outlasted my Pixel in battery life during a 10 hour road trip and the camera handled low light at a dive bar way better than I expected, so which brand have you flipped on and what was the breaking moment?

iPhone did that for me with the xr, battery just wouldn't die.
