Honestly that sounds about right. I had a similar thing happen with a racing game where the clutch would randomly stop working mid race. Spent like four hours reinstalling drivers and checking my wheel settings. Then I remembered I updated Windows 10 about two months ago and rolled it back. Fixed everything in ten minutes. Never trust those big updates man, they always break something small and stupid.
