Kept a movie list in a notes app until my phone died, now I use a $1 notepad on the bus
Lost 3 years of "watch this next" picks when my phone bricked in 2022, so I switched to a paper notepad I keep in my coat pocket for my 40 minute commute. Now I flip through it and half the movies I wrote down are ones I already watched and forgot, which never happened when the app kept score for me. Does anyone else find they actually finish more stuff when the list is dumb and analog?
That forgetting part is real, I've done the same thing with my own notepad and it's kind of freeing in a weird way. When the app tracked everything for me I spent more time cleaning up the list than watching the movies on it. The cheap notepad can't do that, so I just grab whatever looks good and hit play.
