Showerthought: My best friend's plant gift totally backfired last Friday
She gave me a 'low light' fern for my apartment, but it started dropping leaves within 48 hours because my place is basically a cave. What's a truly unkillable plant for a room with one north-facing window?

Come on, a north window is plenty! Ferns are drama queens. You probably just overwatered it right away, everyone does that. Try a snake plant, those things are bulletproof. They'll grow in a closet if you let them. What did your watering schedule look like?
