Shoutout to the trash bag trick that saved my Boston fern in 3 weeks
My Boston fern was crispy and brown on the edges and I was about to toss it back in March. I put a clear trash bag over the whole pot for 10 days, misting it once a day, and kept it out of direct sun on my porch in Portland. When I took the bag off, there were 6 new fiddleheads poking up and the old fronds had greened back up. Apparently the bag traps humidity and ferns love that. Has anyone tried this with a maidenhair fern or does it rot the stems?
