Pro tip: I tried a new fertilizer on my fiddle leaf fig and it almost killed the thing
I saw this liquid fertilizer at the garden center last month, the label said it was for 'tropical foliage' so I figured it was perfect. I followed the instructions exactly, mixing it with water as directed. Within a week, the leaves started getting these brown, crispy edges and a bunch just dropped off. I panicked and flushed the soil with a ton of plain water, which seemed to stop it from getting worse. I think the mix was just way too strong, even at the recommended dose. My plant is still recovering and looks pretty sad. Has anyone else had a fiddle leaf fig react badly to a specific fertilizer brand?

Tbh, sounds like a dramatic plant. They're pretty tough to kill with one feeding.

My fiddle leaf fig dropped half its leaves after I gave it a full dose of fertilizer last month. The new growth is finally coming in now that I've flushed the soil. They really hate strong feeds.

Dramatic is the middle name of every fiddle leaf fig I've met.
