My orchid's root rot issue took a full month to properly diagnose
I kept treating for fungus when it was actually a bacterial infection from overwatering. Anyone else had a plant problem that took weeks to figure out?

My basil plant died of thirst while I was busy overwatering the cactus.

Ugh, been there. What if you put them right next to each other? I keep my basil on the kitchen counter by the sink and my cactus on a sunny shelf across the room. The different spots help me remember they need totally different care. It stops me from giving them both the same treatment.

Stick your finger in the soil before you water. If it feels damp even an inch down, just wait. Got a cheap moisture meter from the garden center, and it finally stopped me from drowning my peace lily.
