My neighbor called my vegetable garden 'just a bunch of weeds'
I was out watering my tomatoes and kale in the backyard last week. My neighbor Bob leaned over the fence and said, 'You know, that just looks like a bunch of weeds to me.' He said it with a straight face while I was holding a ripe Cherokee Purple. It totally killed my vibe for the whole afternoon. Has anyone else had someone just not get it at all?

Ugh, Bob sounds like the worst. I get what @blake322 is saying about people putting down stuff they don't get, but honestly calling tomatoes weeds is just wild. Cherokee Purples are so obviously not weeds, they're like these big, funky looking tomatoes. Dude needs to get his eyes checked lol.

That comment says more about Bob than your garden. I see this all the time, people dismissing what they don't understand instead of asking a question. It's a weird need to put down someone else's project to feel better. Your tomatoes are proof he's wrong, so just keep watering them.

Wait, did you say tomatoes? I read that whole thing thinking we were talking about flowers. Bob was making fun of someone's tomatoes? That's just crazy. Who looks at a vegetable garden and feels the need to trash it? Tomatoes are hard to grow right. If they look good, that's a huge win. Man, some people just wake up and choose to be miserable about the weirdest things.
