Just found that cinnamon powder keeps mold off seedling soil! My spring plants are happy.

Is that the cinnamon working or just it drying the topsoil out?

My aloe vera had mold, cinnamon sprinkled on top fixed it.

Yeah reese75 has a point about it maybe just drying things out. Are you sprinkling the cinnamon on top or mixing it into the soil before planting? And do you water from the top after you put it down? Trying to figure out if it's actually fighting the mold or just making a dry crust on top.
