I finally gave up on my fiddle leaf fig in Austin after 3 years of trying
Last week I moved it to the curb because it dropped every leaf again, even with a humidifier. Has anyone else had a plant that just refused to thrive in their specific home?

Yeah, moving it to the curb in Austin... I did the same with a peace lily that just hated my bathroom light. Some spots just have a vibe they can't stand.

Actually peace lilies are a bit different. They're tropical plants that really don't want full sun. Putting one outside in a place like Austin would probably burn the leaves. The bathroom light issue was likely about intensity, not the plant needing to be outdoors. They do best in bright, indirect light indoors. It's more about finding the right spot inside that mimics their natural shady environment.
