Found out monstera leaves aren't actually split naturally
I was watching a plant care video from a botany channel. The guy dissected a monstera leaf. Turns out those holes and splits are from the leaf growing around itself in the bud. Not some genetic thing like I thought for 3 years. Has anyone else been fooled by how they form?

Nature does weird stuff but does it really change how you look at your plant?

Wait till your Monstera drops a leaf with a hole that looks like a perfect little keyhole or something. Does that mean the plant is sick or just being creative? I've had plants throw out weird variegation patterns that looked fake and it made me wonder if I was doing something wrong or if it was just the plant doing its thing. What do you look for to tell the difference between a plant being weird in a healthy way versus a plant trying to tell you something is off?

Referring to the_joseph, I mean, I get that it doesn't change the leaf's look, but knowing it's not really a natural adaptation kind of takes some of the magic out of it for me.
