The day a cat decided my bookbinding project was its personal throne
So last Tuesday I was in my garage in Columbus trying to glue up a text block for a custom journal, and my neighbor's cat wandered in through the open door. Before I could shoo it away, it jumped right onto my freshly glued spine and sat there like it owned the place. I had cat hair stuck in the PVA glue and paw prints across the endpapers. Has anyone else had their workspace invaded by a pet mid-project and had to scrap the whole thing?

Oh man, I kinda have to disagree lol. I feel like that cat hair and those paw prints are what make it a one of a kind piece now. Sounds like a cool story for whoever ends up with that journal.

Wait, have you ever thought about what that journal could turn into if you just leaned into the mess? Like @iris574 said, that hair and those paw prints are basically a built-in story now. I'd probably keep that journal for myself honestly, or give it to the neighbor as a weird gift. Those mistakes end up being the reason you remember a project way more than if everything went perfect. The cat knew what it was doing, it picked out a throne for a reason.
