Just found a local source for acid-free paper that's also tree-free!
It feels great to bind with materials that help the planet.

My buddy tried making his own paper from old t-shirts and it was a huge mess at first. He wanted to avoid using trees entirely, just like your source. Tbh, the first few batches fell apart if you even looked at them wrong. He kept at it though, and now he sells notebooks with the stuff. It's cool to see people get creative with materials. Makes you realize how many options are out there besides the usual stuff.

Love seeing that kind of stubborn creativity pay off. It proves the good stuff usually comes after pushing through the messy trial phase. Honestly makes the normal paper on my desk look pretty boring now.

Yeah that messy trial phase is real. For me just sticking with it through the ugly drafts made all the difference.
