Heads up about the leather supplier on Market Street

I stopped by their new shop downtown last weekend and noticed they're selling split leather as full grain. The surface looked fine but the underside was all fuzzy and rough. Anyone else have issues with them switching materials without saying anything?

Wait is that the same place that's been popping up on my feed with all those 'artisan leather' ads? lol I actually fell for that split leather trick once with a different supplier and ended up with a wallet that looked like a sad pancake after two months. The fuzzy underside is a dead giveaway, I feel like such a dummy for not checking that first time. They probably bank on people not flipping it over and just looking at the pretty top grain. Good looking out though, I was gonna swing by there this weekend but now I'll just stick with my usual guy.
