Dropped $95 on a cast iron nipping press at an estate sale in Tulsa, and it turns my crooked spines into something I'm not ashamed of
I was ready to give up on rounding and backing by hand, my signatures kept splaying every time I clamped them. Rented time on a guy's standing press for $20 an hour for a while, then found this beast in a garage on the north side and hauled it home in a hatchback. Anyone else running an old press and fighting with the platen coming down uneven?
