Vent: the woman in my book club brought a printout of my Goodreads notes to the meeting
Last Tuesday at Carol's house on Mulberry Street, we were supposed to talk about chapter 12 of Demon Copperhead and instead I got ambushed. Dana pulls out this stapled stack of my own updates, highlighted, and reads one from March where I guessed the ending wrong. She wanted to "start a discussion about reader predictions." It was 14 pages. Everyone laughed at first and then it got awkward when she asked if I ever finish a book without checking the last page first. I admitted I do, and now the group wants me to run a whole night on spoiler habits, which feels like a trap. I told her next time to just text me like a normal person instead of printing my feed. Has a group you like ever turned your internet comments into meeting material?
