Spent three hours trying to find out why my book club app kept crashing on iPad
Turns out it was just a cached file from 2022 that I finally cleared after googling the error code for the fifth time. Has anyone else run into a stupid simple fix like that after way too long troubleshooting?

Software updates always break the simplest stuff somehow.

That "simplest stuff" thing drives me crazy because you'd think basic features would be the last thing to break. It's like the devs focus on adding shiny new bells and whistles and forget to test if the volume slider still works. Feels like they're optimizing for quarterly goals instead of making sure the everyday stuff isn't on fire.

Totally agree, the most basic stuff is what makes me want to throw my phone across the truck cab. I had an update last month that somehow broke the back button in my weather app. The weather app, a thing that's been around forever. Now I have to restart the whole app just to go back one screen. You wonder what testing they're actually doing before they push these things out, right?
