Serious question, I realized our book club in Austin was just talking about the plot, not the actual debate questions.
We were halfway through 'Klara and the Sun' and I finally spoke up, asking if anyone actually thought the mother was right to make that choice, which sparked our first real argument in two years.

Yeah, I used to think avoiding arguments was the goal. But my last relationship taught me that never disagreeing just meant we weren't talking about the hard stuff. We were just polite roommates until it fell apart.
