I was leading our book club wrong for 3 months straight
We read 'The Midnight Library' and I kept pushing for a deep talk about quantum physics. Then my friend from the Portland chapter said, 'Quinn, we just want to know if she made the right choice.' That was the tip-off. I was overcomplicating every meeting instead of letting people talk about the story. How do you keep a discussion from getting too academic?

Oh man, my friend did that with a movie club...

That movie club idea is great because it forces you to watch stuff you'd normally skip. My group picked a theme each month and it really opened up our tastes. You end up finding some real hidden gems that way.

Forced myself to watch a silent film last month. Actually got into it, which was a huge surprise. Never would have touched that stuff on my own.
