Found a used bookstore in Portland that sorts its fiction by the author's hometown, which sparked a huge fight in my group about whether setting or authorial voice matters more.

We spent the entire last meeting arguing about it, and now half of us want to pick our next book based solely on the geography of the author, so has anyone else's club ever tried a theme that divisive?
