A chat with my aunt made me see our book club's big fight in a new way

We argued for an hour about the ending of 'The Testaments' last month, and I was sure my take was right. My aunt, who's in a different club, said her group had the same fight but someone brought up Margaret Atwood's 2019 interview where she talked about leaving room for hope. That made me think maybe we were all too stuck on being right instead of hearing what the book was trying to do. Has your club ever had a debate where an outside piece of info totally changed the talk?

My friend's movie group was stuck on a scene until someone found the director's old blog post explaining it. Changed the whole night.

I always check the Wayback Machine for deleted director commentary.
