TIL a $20 harbor freight fire extinguisher saved my bacon during a torch mishap in Indianapolis
I always figured those cheap extinguishers were junk until I had a fitting blow out on a propane line and it actually put the flame out fast, has anyone else had a cheap safety item come through when it counted?

My cousin's $15 extinguisher from Autozone did absolutely nothing when his grill flared up last summer. He ended up having to use baking soda and a lid to kill it. Maybe a torch mishap in a controlled workspace is different from a full on grease fire in a kitchen setting?
