Old trick for aligning tubes kept me from losing my mind on a job in Gary
Was working on a boiler retube over in Gary last spring and kept fighting with tubes that wouldn't seat right in the drum. One of the old hands told me to try using a piece of emery cloth wrapped around a broomstick to clean the holes before you even think about sliding the tube in. Saved me at least an hour of cussing per shift. Anybody else got a goofy trick like that that actually works?

That's just common sense, not some secret trick.

We use those magnetic menu boards that you write on with dry erase markers at our shop. Took a few tries to find markers that didn't smudge, but Expo low odor works fine. Also helps that customers can see the specials change in real time without us reprinting anything.

Heard from a friend who runs a coffee shop that they switched to liquid chalk markers for their menu boards and swear by them. @iris574 mentioned the Expo low odor markers working for their shop, but I've seen liquid chalk hold up better against greasy fingers and condensation. Probably depends on the setup though, glad you found what works.
