Just logged my 500th hour on the new orbital welder and the numbers are wild

We got the Miller Dynasty 700 for a big refinery job in Texas last year, and I've been tracking every weld. The argon use is way lower than I thought, like 30% less than our old rig. Has anyone else seen a jump like that with newer gear?

That 30% argon drop is huge for the environment, not just the budget. Our yard switched to pulse spray on aluminum and cut our shielding gas waste by half. The new digital flow meters are the real game changer, they stop that constant slow bleed older valves had.

Our old boss would have called that 30% savings a rounding error. He never believed the new gear hype until the bills came in. Guess the numbers don't lie.
