Just hit 500 hours on my Miller without a single breakdown

I was looking at the hour meter this morning and realized I've never had to crack it open for anything other than routine cleaning... pretty good for a machine I bought used off Craigslist. Anybody else have a welder that just keeps going?

500 hours with zero breakdowns on a used Miller? That's like finding a unicorn that also does your taxes. My buddy @the_fiona would probably have the thing grenade on hour 501 just to keep the universe balanced. I've seen people buy used welders that looked clean and then the first weld they run sounds like a coffee grinder fighting a blender. You must have sacrificed something to the welding gods, maybe a box of 7018 rods or a half-dead stinger. Keep that thing oiled and don't sneeze too hard near it, you're tempting fate.

Bought it used AND it's never broken down? That's wild, honestly.

Oh come ON @the_fiona, you're just lucky. Buying used is a total CRAPSHOOT half the time. People dump their junk on the market for a reason, you know? That thing could fall apart tomorrow and you'd be left wondering why you didn't just spend the extra cash on something new with a warranty. I've seen it happen way too often with friends who thought they scored a deal.
