DAE spend 9 years welding tube sheets wrong before a guy in Gary, Indiana set me straight
I was rolling tube sheets the same way I learned in 2015, jamming the roller in dry and cranking it hard, and always wondered why my joints kept weeping on hydro tests at the refinery job in Gary last month. An old boilermaker named Ray grabbed my wrist, put a light coat of lube on the roller, and said 'you're stretching the metal, not seating it' and every test came back clean after that. How did you all learn to roll tubes, and did anybody else have to get shown the hard way?
