Accidentally welded myself to a pipe fitting in Jersey City last week

I was tacking a bracket onto a 6 inch steam line and leaned in a little too close. Next thing I know my sleeve catches on a bead and I'm stuck there like an idiot for a solid 10 seconds. Had to burn through my own shirt with the torch to get free. Anyone else ever get physically attached to their work by accident?

Used to think stories like that were exaggerated. Saw a guy do it once and figured he was just clumsy. Changed my mind real fast after that shirt caught fire.

My neighbor lost half his eyebrow trying to jump a battery with a frayed cable, @veram99. Took three weeks for the swelling to go down enough for him to see out of that eye again.
