Why does nobody talk about using a dice tray for solo board gaming?

I got tired of dice rolling off my coffee table while playing at home in Denver. Picked up a $12 felt-lined tray from a local shop after 3 ruined games. It keeps the dice contained and actually speeds up my turns since I'm not chasing them. Has anyone else found a random accessory that made their solo sessions way smoother?

Man, nobody ever talks about how it changes your dice rolling technique. I used to just toss them wild, now I actually aim for the corners and get way more consistent results.
