That time a player flipped the table over a single dice roll
Was at a game night last month at a buddy's place in Toledo. We were playing a 4 hour game of Twilight Imperium and this guy Dan had been losing all night. On his final turn he needed a 6 to take the lead and rolled a 2. He just stood up, grabbed the edge of the table, and flipped the whole thing. Cards, tokens, dice went everywhere and we sat there for a solid 10 seconds in silence. How do you even handle someone who takes board games that seriously?

Jumped right into that classic gamer rage story and honestly it reminds me of how people act in traffic every day. Like you got someone cutting you off in a parking lot and they're flipping you off like you just stole their parking spot, but really they're mad about something else entirely. Saw a guy at Walmart last week screaming at a cashier over a 50 cent coupon and it hit me that people just pick these tiny battles to let out steam they've been storing up all week. Dan probably wasn't mad about the dice, he was mad about his job or his car or his wife and the dice was just the straw that broke the camel's back.
