Rant: Paid $75 for a dice tower that broke on game 1

I got this fancy wooden dice tower from a Kickstarter back in March, $75 with shipping. First time we used it for Gloomhaven last Saturday, the ramp inside just snapped in half when a die hit it sideways. The wood looked great but it was clearly too thin, like balsa wood almost. I messaged the maker and they offered a 10% discount on a replacement, not even a full refund. Anyone else burn money on Kickstarter board game accessories that fall apart fast?

I read a thread on BoardGameGeek last month where people were comparing which Kickstarter projects actually delivered good quality, and dice towers came up a lot. Seems like a ton of these wood ones have issues with the internal baffles being too flimsy, especially the ones made in the last couple years. $75 is steep for something that should survive a few dice rolls, and a 10% discount feels like a slap in the face honestly. Did you check if the maker has any kind of warranty on their site, or was that only mentioned in the Kickstarter fine print?
