My buddy's old push-your-luck game beat my fancy new engine builder after 6 rounds
I was sure a 2019 Kickstarter game with all that planning would outlast his beat-up 2004 classic, but by turn three everyone at the table in Tulsa was having more fun rolling dice and praying, so what does that say about how we pick games?

Figure out what your table really wants before you worry about what's in the box. Sometimes the worn-out dice pool just hits that shared chaos button way harder than a tight euro loop, and that's not a knock on either game, it's just a vibe check.

Did that one time with a broken timer and a screaming baby in the next room, somehow still our best session ever?
