My 3-player table rule fixed our Sunday session
We kept having games stall when someone got bored, so I started letting the third player quietly pick the next round's map while we played. It cut our downtime by about 20 minutes and now everyone votes on it. Anyone else try a rotating side-task like that?

...so you're telling me you solved a whole player problem by letting someone scroll through a phone for a few minutes. I mean, sure, if it works for your group, go for it, but calling it a "fix" feels like a stretch. That's not a table rule, that's just giving the bored person something to do so they stop sighing loud enough to bother everyone. And honestly, if someone's zoning out that hard mid-game, maybe the real issue is the session's dragging, not the map selection. But hey, whatever gets you to wrap up by nine instead of nine twenty, right? Just don't be surprised when the "quiet picker" starts arguing their choice was better than the vote anyway.
