Dropped $120 on a Kickstarter expansion, still waiting 14 months later

I backed a board game expansion back in July 2023 because the previews looked amazing, and the creator kept posting updates every few weeks saying it was "almost done." Now the project page is silent, the campaign page won't even load on my phone, and I'm pretty sure that $120 is gone for good. Has anyone else gotten burned by a delayed Kickstarter game, and do you actually chase refunds or just write it off?
