Can we talk about the guy at my FLGS who called my 2 player game a "warm up"?

I was at Game Haven in Portland setting up Lost Cities last month and he asked if I wanted to play "a real game" instead, then pulled out Twilight Imperium for a 2 player match. Has anyone else dealt with this or is it just a thing at my store?
