Am I the only one who thinks 'gateway game' people ruin hobby nights by pushing Catan on everyone at the shop in Reno
Last Friday at the game shop on Wells Ave I watched a guy spend 40 minutes teaching four new folks Catan while the rest of us sat waiting to start our 5-player Twilight Imperium table, and honestly if you've been in the hobby more than a year you should be able to read a room and just let people pick what looks fun, so does anyone else dread that one guy at their local store or is my group just unlucky?
