That time my dad's 'just walk it off' advice cost me a trip to the ER in Nashville
I was 16 and playing pickup basketball at the YMCA near my house. I rolled my ankle bad and it swelled up like a grapefruit, but my dad just said walk it off and drove me home instead of urgent care. Turns out I had a hairline fracture, and I spent the next 6 weeks on crutches. Anyone else have a parent who dismissed serious stuff like that?

did you go to the doctor at all or just tough it out? @graygonzalez i feel like i would've been whining by hour two, not day three. was it like a pinky toe or a big one cause that changes everything
