Finally made my bed the way my dad always nagged me to
Growing up, my dad would YELL at me for just throwing the comforter over the wrinkled sheets and calling it done. He said hospital corners were the only way and I thought he was crazy. Last week I actually tried his method after watching a YouTube video that showed the same thing. I tucked the sheets tight, folded the corners neat, and put the pillows on straight. It took me 5 extra minutes but honestly the bed looks SO much better now. I even slept better that night because the sheets weren't bunching up around my feet. My dad would probably say "told you so" if he saw it. Has anyone else had a parent's weird pet peeve turn out to actually make sense later?

My dad did the same thing with folding fitted sheets, and now I can't do it any other way either.

Yeah "my dad would yell at me for just throwing the comforter over the wrinkled sheets" - man that hit home. My old man was the same way about making the bed proper. I fought it for years but now I get it. It's not about being perfect it's about not waking up in a tangled ball of sheets at 3am. I do the full hospital corners too every morning now and it takes like 3 extra minutes but I sleep so much better knowing my feet aren't fighting the fitted sheet all night. Funny how the stuff they yelled about ends up being the stuff that actually works.

Saw @perez.willow mention hospital corners and my buddy Mike tried that after years of fighting his dad on it.
