Tried forge welding with coal dust mixed in my flux
Swapped my borax for a 50/50 mix with coal dust on a leaf spring last Saturday and got a solid weld but a dozen pits I had to grind out for an hour, anyone else use homemade flux recipes or should I just stick with the store stuff?
