Shoutout to the old timer at the Montana fair who showed me his tong trick
He was making a simple pair of scrolling tongs and told me, 'The secret is to upset the reins before you punch the hole, not after.' I tried it back at my shop and it saved me a ton of time and effort. Anyone have other little tricks for making tongs faster?

Wonder if that old timer has a similar trick for getting my kids to put their shoes on before we're already late for school. Some secrets are just too powerful to share.

My grandma's trick was just putting their shoes by the door the night before.
