Had to choose between a refurbished anvil or a new one at the quad cities swap meet, went cheap

Picked the $350 beat-up Fisher with a chipped face over the $600 new one, and now every hardy hole job leaves my tongs shaking for the last two weeks, anyone else regret saving money on an anvil with edge damage?

Realize that's basically the story of every used tool I've ever bought, the savings always feel great until the first job shows why it was cheap. Funny how we'll drop cash on a nice coffee maker but then pretend a chipped anvil won't bite us later, lol.
