Can we talk about the guy at the feed store who said my forge was "too clean to be real"?

That "too clean" thing usually means the forge hasn't seen real heat yet, not that it's fake. My uncle ran a farrier shop for 12 years and his coal forge looked like a disaster zone because he actually used it every day. Clean shop just means you're either new to it or good about upkeep, neither one makes the forge less real.
